About these terms

These terms apply to anyone who visits jdswebservice.com or uses our services. By using our website or signing up for our service, you agree to these terms.

What we do

JD's Web Service builds, hosts, and maintains websites for small businesses. A one-time $399 setup fee covers the design and build of your site, then a monthly subscription (Starter $99, Professional $175, or Premium $249) covers hosting and ongoing care. For details on what's included, see our Services page, our pricing section, and SLA.

Your responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your business
  • Provide content, photos, and other materials we need to build your site
  • Keep your own passwords and accounts secure
  • Pay the $399 setup fee and your monthly subscription fee on time
  • Stay within your tier page limit (5/8/25) and change-request limit (1/4/8 per month)
  • Not use your website for illegal activities or to infringe on others' intellectual property

Our responsibilities

We agree to:

  • Build and maintain your website using industry best practices
  • Host your website on secure, monitored infrastructure
  • Provide change requests per your tier (Starter 1, Professional 4, Premium 8 per month) with tier-based turnaround (3-5, 2-3, or 1-2 business days)
  • Include legal pages (terms, privacy, cookies) on all tiers at no extra cost, not counted toward your page limit
  • Monitor your site for uptime and security issues
  • Keep backups of your website
  • Notify you of any significant outages or issues

No guarantee of results

We build and maintain your website using industry best practices. We do NOT guarantee specific business results, including but not limited to: increased traffic, higher search rankings, more customers, or increased revenue. Your website's performance depends on many factors outside our control, including your industry, your competition, and your own business practices.

Limitation of liability

If something goes wrong, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. For example, if you've been paying $175/month for 3 months, the most we could owe you is $525. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or lost profits.

Dispute resolution

If we have a dispute, we agree to try mediation first. If mediation doesn't resolve it, any legal action will be filed in the state courts of Pennsylvania. We don't use binding arbitration.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
