Why Volunteer

PCA runs on volunteers

PCA runs on volunteers. Over 800 people give their time to sort food, tutor kids, stock the clothing closet, and serve at our community events. Some give a few hours a month. Some give a few hours a week. Every hour matters.

You don't need experience. You don't need money. You just need to care about your neighbors.

How You Can Help

  1. 01

    Food Pantry Helper

    Sort donations, stock shelves, and help families shop. Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday shifts.

  2. 02

    Clothing Closet Sorter

    Sort, fold, and organize donations. Help visitors find what they need. Wednesday shifts.

  3. 03

    After-School Tutor

    Help kids with homework, reading, and enrichment activities. Weekdays 3pm-6pm during the school year.

  4. 04

    Event Volunteer

    Serve at holiday meals, back-to-school drives, and community events. Seasonal.

  5. 05

    Job Training Mentor

    Help participants with resumes, interview practice, and job search skills. Flexible schedule.

  6. 06

    Skills-Based Volunteer

    Graphic design, social media, accounting, IT, translation - whatever your skill, we can use it. Flexible/remote.

Volunteer FAQ

Do I need to commit to a schedule?
No. Some volunteers give a few hours a month; others come weekly. Tell us your availability and we'll find a fit.
Do I need a background check?
Yes, for the after-school program and any role working with children. We'll help you with that at no cost.
Can my group volunteer?
Absolutely. Churches, businesses, and civic groups are welcome. Email us and we'll set it up.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. We'll send you details before your first shift.
I have a specific skill. Can I help?
Yes. Graphic design, social media, accounting, translation, IT - tell us your skill on the form and we'll put it to work.
