This is a demo site. All information is fictional. This is not a real business.

OUR STORY

Built in Pittsburgh, for Pittsburgh.

Eighteen years on the job. A dozen craftspeople. One standard: do the work right, the first time.

A modern twin-house with white and grey stucco, black trim, and two charcoal garage doors, set on a manicured lot under a clear sky.

FROM TWO MEN TO A FULL CREW

Founded in 2008. Still on the tools.

Iron City Construction started in 2008 with Frank Marchetti, a pickup truck, and a framing crew of two. Eighteen years later we are a 12-person team of carpenters, project managers, and site supervisors serving Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties.

We chose to stay a single, tight crew on purpose. It means the people who quote your project are the people who build it. No subs you have never met, no phone-tree project management. Frank is still on the job site most days.

Our work spans custom new homes, whole-home remodels, kitchens and baths, commercial build-outs, additions, and roofing. Whatever the scope, the standard is the same: square corners, level trim, and a final walkthrough you are proud of.

HOW WE WORK

Four steps. No surprises.

Free Consultation

We walk your space, listen to what you want, and talk through scope, budget, and timeline. No pressure, no charge. You leave the meeting knowing what is possible.

Design & Planning

We turn the conversation into a written scope, a fixed-price estimate, and a schedule. We pull permits, order materials, and line out the crew before a single tool shows up.

Construction

Our crew builds it. Mike manages the schedule, Tony keeps the site safe and clean, and Sarah's carpentry team handles the finish work. You get weekly progress updates and a single point of contact.

Final Walkthrough

We walk the finished project with you, item by item. We fix anything that is not right, hand over warranty paperwork, and leave the site cleaner than we found it.

QUESTIONS

Things we get asked a lot.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry PA Contractor License #PA-2024-08851 and we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We are happy to send a certificate of insurance to your lender or HOA before we start.

What areas do you serve?

Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties: Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, and Butler. If you are not sure whether you are in our range, call 412-555-8351 and we will let you know.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes. The first consultation and the written estimate are free. For larger scopes we may break the estimate into a paid design phase, but that is always agreed up front before any charge.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. A kitchen remodel runs 6 to 10 weeks, a whole-home remodel 3 to 6 months, and new construction 6 to 12 months. We give you a realistic schedule before we start and update it weekly.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We pull every permit required for the work we do, schedule the inspections, and close them out. You do not have to deal with the city.

Who actually does the work?

Our own crew. We do not subcontract the core carpentry, framing, or finish work. For plumbing, electrical, and HVAC we use a small set of licensed trades we have worked with for years.

How do you handle changes during the project?

Every change is written up as a change order with a price and a schedule impact, and signed before the work happens. No verbal agreements, no surprise bills.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes. We provide a one-year workmanship warranty on all of our carpentry and remodeling, on top of any manufacturer warranties on materials. If something we built fails, we come back and fix it.
